Our Simple Living Room Refresh

Today I wanted to show you guys our living room refresh! Some of you might not know that our home is actually one of Brett’s childhood homes. He bought it from his mom the year we got married and we have been slowly updating and renovating it since! Nothing in the house really needed to be repaired, just some updating! It quite literally took us two years to finish this project because I have a hard time committing to a decor purchase unless I’m sure I’ll like it, but we finally made it to the finish line and I absolutely love our living room!

My biggest goal when updating any space in our home is to make it as functional as possible, while still maintaining a cute and cozy vibe in the space. It’s important to make the room work for your needs but you also need to feel at home in it! An example of how we did this: Hosting gatherings is important to us, so maintaining that very open concept feel throughout the upstairs was a must! A huge piece to making that happen was choosing a coffee table that was low to the ground to make everything feel very open.

Below you can find photos of what it use to look like as long as links to all of the products I used to decorate this space! *Just so you know, there are affiliate links on this post! We may earn a small commission of things you purchase through our links (at no extra cost to you!)*
