The Best of Summer 2021
The summer season is coming to a close and everyone seems to be fully embracing the soon to be Autumn season! Let’s take a quick look back and do a roundup of our bests of summer of 2021. Here are our best of things:
The best binge watch:
B - I started watching the series “Outer Banks” on Netflix and I am obsessed, if you like drama’s, watch this!
K - Same! Bryana was raving about it, so I had to see what it was all about, and of course I was hooked, too!
The best podcast:
B - I am a huge fan of the Gilmore Girls series and can’t get enough - so when I saw that Scott Patterson (who plays Luke) started a podcast of him watching the series for the first time, I was so excited! It’s called “I Am All In” and it’s a really good listen if you’re also a fan of the show!
K - For all of my fellow true crime lovers, there’s so many that I can’t choose just one…. I’m always listening to Crime Junkie, but also really liked CounterClock and Your Own Backyard!
The best adventure:
B - We went on a trip to Estes Park, Colorado this part July, and my favorite adventure during the trip was a hike called Emerald Lake Trail in the Rocky Mountain National Park. This hike took us on a windy trail that takes you to three different lakes that are nestled in the middle of the mountains.
K - Jason and I celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary on Mackinac Island in June, and wrote all about our adventures there! It was the best weekend getaway!!
The best design trend:
B - My favorite design trend that we have seen is contrast trim! But a close second is the rich and moody paint trends.
K - I’ve loved seeing how people have been adding more vintage style elements to their homes! Bringing in a collection of old and new pieces that work together to bring a space charm and character that feels intentional. Here’s a simple way to add some vintage charm with a gorgeous gallery wall to your space!
The best clothing find:
B - This one is easy for me - I found the absolute best casual shorts this summer from Target!
K - Another Target find (of course), but these fitted ribbed tanks are so comfortable I could live in them! And they’re only $8!!
The best summer sweet treat:
B - An Iced Honey Lavender Latte with Oat Milk from Camp Coffee has been my go-to all summer long!
K - The Perfect Gluten Free Brownies changed my life like no brownie ever has before. Haha! But honestly, try them if you haven’t yet and you can thank me later! ;)
The best thing about summer of 2021:
B - We expanded Grace + Gather this summer!!! Definitely a highlight of the season!
K - I would have to absolutely agree!! But a close second would probably be purchasing our duplex and working on updating that has been such a fun project, as well as recently selling our home and starting on building a brand new one!
