WHEN IN WACO

Last summer, we took a trip down to Waco, Texas with our husbands to visit Magnolia! We wrote all about it here: We made it to Magnolia!

Although we spent a majority of our time at Magnolia and seeing all of the Fixer Upper related things, we found quite a few other cute shops, amazing places to eat, and great coffee in between!

Where to shop:

Harp Design Co. - This shop kinda goes along with all of the Magnolia stuff but we will give it it's own space on the blog! If you watch Fixer Upper, you will know all about Clint Harp, this is his storefront. It is a small, quaint little shop with really cute and unique home items! His hand spun candle holders were the coolest!

Spice Village - This place is filled to the brim with so many little booths, you could spend hours browsing here!

The Findery - Right down the road from Magnolia, this store actually has two buildings and we parked right in between to walk to both. They had the cutest home goods, definitely pricey! But so fun just to look around (and escape the heat).

Cedar Chest - Antiquing is a big deal in Texas, well at least that's the assumption we got because there is literally an antique shop on every corner! We decided to check out the Cedar Chest and it was pretty cool and full of fun finds. You could definitely spend a lot of time in here.

Where to eat:

The Twisted Root Burger Co. - The BEST burgers and just an all around neat restaurant and atmosphere!! Trust us, you'll love it there!

MOROSA Wood Fired Pizzeria - I feel like this doesn't even need an explanation because is there anything better than wood fired pizzas?? Nope! Go here and take home the left overs because the second best thing to fresh wood fired grilled pizza is wood fired grilled pizza left overs.

Vitek's BBQ - If you like BBQ, you'll wanna go here! You can tell this is a local gem because the place was packed. They serve picnic style meals and we left with full bellies.

George's Restaurant Bar & Catering - This is not the fanciest place in the world but you will not be let down by their food! American style dishes and good service.

Where to get coffee or sweet treats:

Common Grounds - Good coffee is very important to all of us when we are traveling so we went to multiple coffee shops and this one had the best vibes! Super unique and cozy. They often have live music in the back yard as well.

Heritage Creamery - Honestly, this ice cream is what dreams are made of. This place is all about home-made, unique, + quality ice cream.

Dichotomy Coffee & Spirits - Great coffee! Definitely worth a stop. I mean, look at those floors!

We love Waco and can't wait to go back!
If you're visiting, we hope our suggestions will help you during your trip!
