Last year to celebrate our 3rd anniversary, Jason and I spent a couple of nights in Door County, WI! We always try to go on a little trip each year for our anniversary and of all of the places we've traveled together, this was hands down our favorite trip thus far! It was so relaxing yet lots of fun and filled with SO MUCH good food and beautiful views. I think it's such a special place that everyone should visit!

WHERE WE STAYED

We stayed at The Water Street Inn in Ephraim and absolutely loved it! It’s a charming place right across the street from the lake and within walking & biking distance to a handful of really good restaurants, an ice cream parlor, and a few other shops! They have free kayaks & bike rentals, an outdoor pool, a fire pit, and a big, beautiful front porch to watch the sunset. It's a little quieter town than some of the others, but that was perfect for us. Just a several minute drive to the other towns!

WHAT WE DID

Cave Point County Park - Our first stop on our way into town! It was pretty foggy and cool so we didn't stay long, but it was really neat to see and walk around a bit!

Red Putter Mini Golf - This is a classic mini golf course and one of the most unique that I've seen. It was a lot of fun!!

Peninsula State Park - We had a wonderful time hiking around the Eagle Bluff Trail and the park, it's a relaxing place to walk as well as a peaceful drive with amazing views!

One afternoon we spent driving to the other little towns to see what they had to offer and we stopped in Fish Creek to walk around and check out a bunch of their little shops!

Lautenbach's Orchard Country Winery & Market - Although nothing was in season yet, we had to stop and pick up some of their unique snacks and desserts! I got some really tasty granola and Jason especially loved their cherry salsa. We brought a few goodies back for our family as well!

Sunset kayak on Lake Michigan - The most beautiful way to end our anniversary!

Have you been to Door County? If not, what are you waiting for?! Kidding. Kind of ;) . I would highly recommend planning a little getaway there! Although everyone travels differently and wants different things out of a trip, I think it has something for everyone because each little town is unique. It is truly just the most charming, relaxing, and quaint place and I can't wait to go back!
