There is no hiding the fact that Christmas is my favorite time of year, just like many others! So I love anything that adds to the coziness of the season. I've listen 7 fun ways to feel festive this holiday season and hope it brings some warmth into your homes.

1. Listen to your favorite Christmas playlists!

Here are a few on Spotify that we love: Christmas Coffeehouse, Christmas Christian Playlist, Christmas Classics

2. Watch a classic Christmas movie!

Here are a few of our all-time favorites:

3. Diffuse oils throughout your house!

I’ve shared some festive diffuser blends below from our friend Emily, @emilycatherinehagan!

4. Make something by hand.

Whether that's a DIY ornament or Christmas baking - here's a few recipes and ideas:

5. Adding small touches of coziness to every area of your home.

There are so many ways to create a cozy holiday feel in your home, but a few ways I accomplish it is by:

  • Adding garland and lights in places that feel natural — on a mantel, railings, above windows or doorways.

  • Switch out your prints! Here are a few of my favorite finds: Winter & Christmas Prints for your Home

  • Find things you can change out seasonally and bring in the winter feels. Example: Any vases with sprigs or stems, or throw pillows and blankets.

6. Get creative with your gift wrapping.

  • Instead of using normal wrapping paper, use white & brown kraft paper or newspaper.

  • Instead of ribbon, use twine or garland to wrap the gift.

  • Add a fun gift to the top of your wrapped gift like an ornament, photo, gift card, or piece of candy!

7. Make your favorite warm drink, get in comfy clothes, burn a holiday candle, and write in a journal listing all of your favorite parts of the Christmas season.

Creating this blog post made me SO excited for all the cozy days ahead this holiday season! What’s something you do to feel festive each year?
